How to play 2048
First move
Swipe anywhere on the board up, down, left, or right. You can also use keyboard arrow keys; tapping a tile does not move it.
Rules
Every move slides all tiles as far as they can go. Two matching tiles merge once per move: 2 and 2 become 4. A new tile appears only when the board changes.
Finish
You win when a tile reaches the target, which depends on the difficulty. The game ends if the board is full and no neighboring tiles can merge.
Quest levels
A quest level is a set board with a target and a number of moves. Some levels pin your biggest tile to its corner: the level ends if a slide moves it out.
