How to play Chess
Starting position
Each puzzle begins at a selected moment in a game, with earlier moves already played. Pieces may already have moved or been captured.
Rules
Play the side named above the board: White to move or Black to move. After each correct move, the board plays the opponent's reply automatically. Continue until the winning line is complete.
Move feedback
A legal chess move can still miss the puzzle solution. That move returns to its starting square. Relaxed mode lets you try again; Strict Rush ends the puzzle after a wrong move.
